Adults with a learning disability have the same human rights as everyone else. The Human Rights Act 1998 says no one can take our rights away.

No one can abuse us.

We must be respected.

We have the right to privacy.

We are allowed to marry or have a civil partnership.

We are allowed to have a private and family life.

We can have our own beliefs.

We must not be discriminated against.

We should have a say about where we live and who we live with.

We should be allowed to make our own choices.

We should be allowed to see our records.

Things should be explained in a way we can understand.

Manchester People First is for our rights and against bullying.
We are a Hate Crime reporting centre and work with Voice UK.
